Watermelon Natural Sports Drink (Nature’s gatorade)
It’s officially summer and that means watermelon season is here in San Diego, and it’s my families top favorite fruit to chow down on. Watermelon is super hydrating, refreshing and it's also a fantastic natural source of electrolytes. These electrolytes aid in hydration, overall better muscle function, and they help balance our bodily fluids. They are packed with potassium, magnesium, and rich in vitamins like A and C. which is what we need after a good workout. This drink helps replace the need for a sports drink from the store, and to get something fresh and healthier for your body.
It’s a great way to stay ahead of the game this summer when the you are expelling tons of energy outside doing physical activities. Next time you are gearing up for the week, skip the drink aisles and head straight for the produce section and find yourself a big juicy watermelon. By making this energy sports water instead, you are staying away from harmful chemicals like red 40, blue 1 +2, yellow 6, and all the other colors that are wrecking havoc on your gut and overall health. This way, you’ll be consuming fresh fruit juice with no added sugars, dyes, or preservatives, and you’ll know exactly what’s inside of it. It’s a win win!
This natural sports drink is:
packed with natural electrolytes
refined sugar free
dairy free and gluten free
easy to make
so delicious!
perfect for summer
