Spiced Chai Milkshake

Spring time is here, the days are growing longer, and temperatures are starting to rise again. If you know me, you know that I love sipping on a cold refreshing beverage when the suns out on my deck. As much as I love to drink my bubbly drinks, nothing beats a yummy, delicious milkshake!

This idea came to me a few weeks ago, it was early afternoon, and I was brewing my chai tea for a morning pick me up. For me in the morning, it’s usually matcha or chai for my caffeine. It was a usual hot spring day here in San Diego and I was thinking how I wanted to have my chai iced, as I always do when its hot out. It was at this moment I was like “wait! I have frozen bananas in the freezer.” Step aside iced tea, I’m going to make a milkshake instead.

I froze my chai tea ice cubes, and waited 3-4 hours until they were solid. I threw everything in to a blender with bananas, extra chai spices, some plant milk, big tree farms golden coconut sugar……and just like that…..I made this amazing Chai Milkshake!

This milkshake is dairy free, gluten free, soy free, nut free depending on the milk, and packed with anti-inflammatory spices like cinnamon and ginger! Talk about taking your spring and summer beverage game to a whole new level. Set yourself up today for a delicious treat for tomorrow. Brew some tea, freeze some bananas, and get ready for an epic treat in the future!
